Perfect pitch

My one great regret is that I didn't study music more when I was young. I'd still like to study, but I'm too old to really learn it now. Here's an interesting site from a guy that is trying to teach himself perfect pitch.

Ed Felton in BusinessWeek

When an article gets into BusinessWeek, you know an issue is mainstream. I'm a big fan of less IP protection vs more. The best way to foster improvement is to build on others work, and I don't believe that innovators are truly incented by protection in any case.

Options - for and against

I love Bill Gurley's Above the Crowd writings. His latest one is no different, touting the benefits of options and the stupidity of bothering to expense them or switch to restricted stock. What I love is that he wrote one back in 1997 talking about the dangers of stock options, too. What a reversal!
